About Vortexes in general | >About Guided Vortex Tours

What is a vortex? and How do you tour one?

In the simpliest terms, a votex is a spiral flow of energy.

-On a vortex tour, we tune into naturally occuring, invisible flows of nature energy. It's the shape of focus for visualizations of our interactions with nature energy.

Sometimes vortexes are are straighforward and seen with the naked eye, like in smoke rings, whirlpools, or tornados.. These meet the scientific definition from fluid dynamics; "spinning fluid with a central core."

Sometimes vortexes are not visible to the naked eye, but can be felt on the quantum level, like the subtle nature or universal energy known as 'Prana'/'Chi'/'Qi.'  Practices like Reki, Qi Gong, and Accupuncture are thousands of year old understandings of subtle nature energy. A metaphysical definition of a vortex is the funnel shaped inflection point between Earth and Sky energy, or a portal that opens to and magnifies universal or nature energy.

Where are vortexes found?

All over the world. You are probably familiar with other sites known for co-loaction with geomagnetic forces, ley lines, or energy highways such as: Stonehenge, the Pyramids of Giza, Machu Pichu, Sedona Vortexes, and hundreds more! Most are so subtle, and can only be felt under conscious intention and focus.

Who found the vortex in Sarasota? How long has it been here?

Humans have been attracted to the land of Sarasota County for Millenia, and it may have been in part to the beneficial vibes of the energy vortexes (or the good weather!) The Calusa Indians lived here and survived by foaraging the bounties of the Bay and leaving a shell mound at the Historic Spanish Point. John Ringling developed St. Armond Circle and left a legacy of arts and culture in downtown Sarasota. Today, sensitives, psychic mediums, and various light workers are drawn to Sarasota for the abundance of subtle energies that support their art and craft. Some say its the crystal white sand of Siesta, because that’s easy to see with the naked eye. However, individuals who can see with their third eye, recognize the invisible crystal city of light.

Within a series of dreams beginning in 2008, local spiritual leaders, Jo and Patricia, recieved a series of coordinatesthat defined “an ethereal diamond-shaped Prism of Light” covering Sarasota and the surrounding areas. The teachings have been shared with the local community of energy practitioners, please read more at:  https://www.starsoundings.com/city-of-light.html

Where are the Sarasota Vortexes?

Major Vortexes in natural locations include: Siesta Baach, Lido Beach, Casperson Beach, Red Bug Slough, Oscar Schearer State Park, Myakka State Park, Warm Mineral Springs. Major Vortexes in urban locations include: The Rising Tide Spiritul Center, Unity of Sarasota. Minor Vortexes can be found at all marine passes between Gulf and Bay from Anna Maria Island to Stump Pass Beach State Park.

What can vortexes do for me?

An energy vortex behaves similar to quartz crystal by amplifying the surrounding energy or intentions. Being in their presence can sooth your nervous system like a good massage or warm bath. Meditating in a vortex can deepen and lengthen the voids between thoughts. Vortexes can also amplify prayers and intentions to manifest more rapidly. Through practice, human beings can build their natural abilities to channel the energy from Earth or Sky through vortexes and into their bodies and environment to promote healing.

What is mindful hiking?

Mindful hiking is a practice that involves being fully present and engaged with the environment, your thoughts, and your senses while hiking. It's about enjoying the journey, not just reaching a destination. It typically includes lots of stops to smell the flowers and get a closer look at the wildlife.

What is nature immersion?

Also called forest bathing or nature therapy, nature immersion is engaging all of one’s senses in communion with nature. It must start with putting away all technology and sensory distractions like food or books. It can be practiced through passive observation of light, color, sound, and smell, as well as active eco-awareness through pondering the interconnections of the landscape as a living system. Sitting in semi-wild spaces, surrounded by vegetation, brings awareness to emotional and spiritual connections with nature.

What are intuitive skills? And how do I build them?

Intuition is a knowing from a silent inner source, rather than knowledge gained externaly in our conscious awareness. It’s known as the gut feeling because our intuition speaks to us through our bodies. Similar to other sensory skills like a refined palate or keen hearing, building confidence in your intuition, or being able to hear the silent voice within, is a skill that can be practiced for better results. Techniques will be taught during the tours that you can continue using at home.
