Service Description
Sweat out the stress and reset your nervous system on an eco-adventure in Oscar Scherer State Park. Summer Sizzle is a series of 3 community Vortex Tours designed for locals! The Sizzle is a shorter (90 minute) version of the full (2.5 hour) vortex tour with special pricing (60% off!) for locals in the rainy season. It starts with a 15 minute hike along South creek, then 15 minutes of yoga under a 100 year old oak tree, building up to the highlight-a guided vortex meditation, and hiking back to the nature center. Please bring and carry your own: +Water Bottle +Towel or mat +bugspray **Optional** Bring your bathing suit if you want to extend the adventure and cool off with a swim in Lake Osprey. Participants are responsible for the ($5) park admission fee at the ranger station. Ranger Station: 1843 S Tamiami Trl, Osprey, FL 34229 Tour Meeting Point: Nature Center. 6202 Oscar Scherer State Park, Nokomis, FL 34275 Parking lot is third public driveway on the right side of main road. Step-by-step directions: Drive 1 mile on the main road. Past the South Picnic Area and past the Campground. Slight right at the sign that says "Lake Osprey Picnic Area" Park anywhere in the loop and look for the group under a picnic shelter near the nature center. How to Dress and What to bring: Your guide will carry a full first aid kit and *emergency*water. Please plan ahead and take personal responsibility for the day's temperature and humidity conditions. Dress for exercising; Carry your own Water (minimum 2 bottles / 34 oz. / 1 liter); Wear Closed toe shoes; Use Sun Protection (hat, sunglasses, long sleeves, sunscreen); and bring any other essentials you need for your individual health and comfort (epi-pen, inhaler, medication, snacks, fans, misters, walking poles/sticks, collapsible chair, *** All participants and guardians must sign safety waivers. Cancellation & Refund Policy -No cancellations or refunds will be issued for anything except weather. ​Weather & Unexpected Circumstances -Weather-related cancellations– If the Guide or Operator cancels a tour due to unsafe weather conditions (lightning, severe storms, etc.), participants will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
